It is hard to believe, but it is almost time for Halloween in Florence. The City of Florence recently announced the official times for trick-or-treating. The official hours are 6:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, October 31st. In addition to the traditional night of neighborhood trick-or-treating, there are several other Halloween activities being planned throughout Florence.
The Boone County Library is planning all sorts of Halloween fun for children of all ages, including a party for babies ages birth to 18 months. You will find a complete list of Halloween activities at the Boone County Libraries here.
The Florence Mall will be holding its annual trick-or-treat event on Tuesday October 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.Children are urged to wear their costumes and can trick or treat at the Mall's stores.
October 27th is also the date set aside for the City of Florence Halloween Night Out. The Halloween Night Out will be held between 5:00 and 7:00 PM at the Florence Government Center. There will be activities for children from toddlers to twelve years old. It will provide a safe environment to trick-or-treat and will have many fun activities for children to enjoy. In addition to neighborhood trick-or-treating on October 31st, the Burlington Baptist Church will be having their "Candy on the Corner" event. From 5:00-6:30 there will be several booths set up giving away treats on the corner of East Bend Road and Route 18 in Burlington, just past the courthouse at the four-way stop.
