Today's Picture of the Day is the Ockerman Middle School in Florence. Ockerman Middle School is located just off of US 42 in Florence between Mall Road and Weaver Road. The campus of Ockerman Middle School also includes Ockerman Elementary School and the main offices of the Boone County Board of Education.

Dedicated in 1965, Ockerman Middle School has a history that is longer
than any of the other middle schools in Boone County. We received a
total remodel in 2005 with the addition of a new gymnasium, science
wing, and computer labs. Our 47 member faculty provides daily
instruction for approximately 750 students. Our middle schoolers attend
Boone County High School, Larry A. Ryle High School, and Randall K. Cooper High School.
